Great balls of fire!

STORY UPDATE: MONDAY 10 AUGUST 2009

The Swindon man severely burnt in a bar incident in Crete has defied a Greek court order and flown home to the UK.

20-year-old Stuart Feltham was due to appear before law authorities on the Maltese island today to defend himself against the accusation of exposing himself prior having a sambuca drink thrown over him by Marina Fanouraki, 26.

Miss Fanouraki, a student, claims she acted in self-defence. Mr Feltham insists he is 'totally innocent' and made the decision to fly home yesterday after recovering from his injuries sufficiently well to leave hospital.

A holiday in the med has turned into a nightmare for Swindon man Stuart Feltham, who today lies in a Crete hospital with second-degree burns to his 'you know whats'.

The 20-year-old from Stratton is reported to have had glass of sambuca thrown at him - which then ignited - in a bar on the island after he allegedly flashed at a Greek girl.

She denies the charge of causing burns and he denies performing the lewd act.

The pair are due to appear at a Maltese Court on Monday.
